Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

My husband was interviewed after his document review on December 23, 2025 in Lagos. His interview was originally scheduled for January 7, 2026, however when he got there they told everyone there to stay for the interview because they are trying to "rush the process" (i.e. they are trying to issue visas before the Jan 1st ban takes place). He said there were at least 200 people there though it was 8:00am in the morning. The Embassy was busy the whole day. His interview took 10 minutes and a European American lady interviewed him and asked him the following questions:

How did you and your wife meet?
How long have you been married?
How many times has she been to Nigeria?
Where does your wife live?
Is that a house or an apartment?
How many rooms are in the apartment? My husband did not understand this question that they were asking how many bedrooms so he was trying to count all the rooms (like living room, bathroom, etc. and got confused and said that he cannot guess, he does not want to guess).
What does she do in the summer?
What does she do in the summer when she is not in Nigeria? He answered something about hanging with my parents which prompted her to ask.
Where does the parents live?
Where does she work? I am a teacher so it led to her asking questions about me teaching.
What does she teach?
What ages are her students?
The interviewer then wanted to look at the Whatsapp chats and photos. He said that she was glancing at the dates of the Whatsapp chats and she looked at the photos and smiled and asked her last two questions.
Did you have a traditional wedding also?
Did you pay the bride price?
