Arrived at the embassy and skipped the queue (as immigrant visas aren’t meant to line up) by speaking to the queue attendants. Went through the airport style security, then headed to the desk in the main building to get my appointment number. Took the lift to the first floor, turned left twice, then took a seat and waited for my number to be called. First, I was called over to hand my documents in. After that, I waited around two and half hours for a very short, polite interview. I was asked what I do, with a follow up on the type of work, and that was it! My interviewer then sat in silence for about two or three minutes while doing something on their computer, before announcing I’d been approved. Very straightforward, if slow.
