My appointment was at 7.40 but the notice said we could arrive no more than 30 minutes before so we went in the building at 7.10.
We went through airport style security and followed the directions to the check in counter.
She asked for my interview notice, took my picture and my finger prints.
We were told to wait until someone called my name
It was not a crazy long wait, maybe 30 minutes.
My name got called and we followed the lady to her office.
She asked us to raise our right hands and swear an oath.
She motioned for us to sit down & so we did.
She asked for our IDs. I gave my Learner's Permit, EAD and Passport and my husband gave his ID.
She asked if he had a passport, which he does not and so he told her no.
She asked:
* How did you meet?
* When did you meet?
* Asked us to elaborate since we met online via gaming
* Asked us about dates (when we started romantic relationship etc)
* When did you get married?
* So you came on the k1? When?
* Who was at the wedding? Any of her family? Why?
* Have we met eachothers family?
* [To my husband] has he met any of my family or friends?
* [To my husband] did you ever visit her?
* what is your favorite thing about eachother?
* is there anything you discovered about him, after marriage that surprised you?
* What is your address?
* When did you start living here?
* How many people live there?
* How many bedrooms?
* Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
* [To my husband] when are you planning on moving out because you have a wife now?
* [To my husband] What does she do for work?
* Do you know what he does tell me about his work?
* Does he still do that now?
* Do you guys have a joint account?
* When did you open it?
* Do you have any further bank statements together?
I gave her the bank statements and she scanned them in.
Then proceeded to the Yes/No from I485
Then said she already approved it on her end, and proceeded to explain removal of conditions and naturalization process to me.
Seems like a lot of questions but interview lasted about 10-15mins and felt like a relaxed chat about our relationship. :D yay!
