Interview experience :

Indian officer asked following questions:
1. Who is the petitioner?
2. Have you applied for US visa before?
3. Have you stayed in any country for more than 6 months?
4. Is this first marriage for both of you?

Indian officer collected below docs :
1. DS 160 stamped copy
2. Two 2*2 photos
3. PCC
4. Sealed medical envelope
5. Birth certificate copy
6. I-134 form
7. Petitioner’s latest W2 & tax transcript

Consular Interview experience - Questions :
1. Who is calling you?
2. What is your fiance’s name?
3. Where does he live?
4. What does he do? Where does he work?
5. What do I do? Where do I work?
6. When did he move to US? And why did he move?
7. Has he met my parents? Have I met his parents?
8. How many times has he visited India?
9. How many times have we met?
10. When was the engagement ceremony? What was the date? Who all were there? She asked for engagement photos and looked at my ring too.. and smiled..
11. Are our families from same religion?
12. What has he done in his education?
13. Which city am I moving to?
14. Is this first marriage for both of us?
15. How did we meet ?
16. Where did we meet for the first time in person?
17. Why are you getting married in US, why not in India?

She also looked at our meeting pics.. and collected the file that i was carrying.. n flipped through pages randomnly.. and said - you have lot of nice and lovely photos! And similar interests too!

Towards the end, she said - *Congratulations! I am happy to approve your visa*. And handed over a slip to me that says - “Your visa is approved”.. Golden words that we all wait for! All the best guys!
It is a simple process.. just carry all your documents and answer all the questions confidently and honestly !
