My (Mia) interview in late May was relatively simple (thankfully!). It was at 8:30 AM (I think earlier interviews are generally better because there's less waiting: by the time I got out at 9:30, there was a long line outside), and I ended up arriving there at between 8:28-8:35 (I didn’t check exactly), at which point I was asked what I was there for and asked to go through the security protocols. I took a tote bag and was able to bring it in to the interview.

The first portion was very simple, though accompanied by about 30 min of waiting: I was only asked for my original birth certificate, original police certificates (which they kept), and the original marriage certificate. I think this depends on the person though.

After another 30 minutes of waiting, I was asked to go to another window for the actual interview. I was pretty nervous, but it wasn’t too bad! These are the general category of questions I remember:
1. They asked me a couple basic questions about my spouse, like where we met and where he lived/worked. There was only one follow-up question here.
2. They asked me about my longest trip to the US. No follow-up questions.
3. They asked me if I had any criminal history, or any US tourist visas.

All in all, I would say it took about 5-10 minutes. They said my visa was going to go through some final processing but they would take my passport since it would most likely get approved soon.

I received the “Issued” status on CEAC by 6pm that day, and received my passport in hand in 3 days from the interview date (I live in Vancouver, so I was pleasantly surprised at how quick it was!)

Note that I did side-load information at the NVC step (I uploaded about 10 pages of additional evidence to CEAC after my interview was scheduled), so that may have had some effect on interview length.
