The waiting process was a few hours, however it was painless.
The staff at the consulate know that everyone entering for interviews are nervous and they are immensely kind and helpful.
My appointment was scheduled for 9am.
I entered and was asked to remove all electronics and put them into a little locker. Took the elevator up to the first floor and sat down with my given numbers.
It took about 45m for me to be called for the first time. I was called up to a window to provide all of my documentation.
The officer requested:
- Passport
- Birth Certificate
- Appointment Confirmation (Showing that fees were paid)
- US Passport Style photos (2)
- Financial Support Documents
- Any additional documents of support...

The officer took all of my documents and advised me to return to my seat and the interview officer would call me up for the rest.
Around 11am I was finally called for my interview.
I was asked to take an oath and provide my finger prints to support the oath.
The officer asked me the following;
- about what sort of visa I was applying for
- how my fiancé and I met
- first time my fiancé and I met in person
- the last time I saw my fiancé in person
- about wedding plans
- asked if I read the pamphlet handed out for domestic violence support
(maybe a few other questions I missed)
She then said she would be able to approve my application and provided me my birth certificate back and a form to explain how I can track my passport back.
The interview itself was less than 10m.

Overall a good experience at this consulate, just a lengthy wait.
