Review Topic: F-2A Visa

My interview was scheduled for 8am. I got to the location 20 minutes before and joined the line with other applicants. Followed given instructions before entering the compound. It took over two hours just to get into the building. After about 30-45mins of waiting in the embassy, I was called to present my documents (the original birth certificates for myself and husband, our marriage ccertificate, my valid passport along with the old one that had my tourist visa, tax transcripts and necesssary W-2's. During this time my fingerprints were taken. I was then given back my documents and asked to take a seat on the other side of the building where I.would wait my turn to be interviewed. It was about 20mins after where I was called in to be interviewed. The questions were simple and straight forward and the officer was pleasant. He jokingly even asked that I go to the media and let the other people know that they need to have their W-2's. All in all, I was happy at the end of the day.

Note: Be prepapred to spend atleast 3 or more at the emsbassy. Ensure all documents are in hand, if not be prepared to be given a 221g or worse, a denial and remember to PRAY!!!
