Arrived in London at about 9:45 and after I made sure I had all my paperwork in somewhat order that I understood I went in the q.
At 10:15 I checked in with the ds 260 and they told me to ignore the line and go through security, did just that, and at the second desk they told me and a lot of others they’re still dealing with the people that have they’re interview at 10:00( I was for 10:30) . We waited and waited and at 10:45-50 they put my sticker on my ds250 and told me to go upstairs left and left ( look for numbers 20 and 21). I’ve waited some more time there and eventually my number was called.
The lady was so nice and patient with me( was so anxious I’ve started to visibly start shaking) and I gave her my birth certificate, marriage license, police backgrounds and in my case divorce papers.
She said my papers look right and they received my medical and everything was ok. She asked if I have a date planned to travel, said yes and gave her a confirmation email, asked for my fingerprints (a bit of a pain in the butt due to my finger injury) .
Then she gave me a leaflet with domestic violence and kept the passport and she told me to be on the lookout for my number to be called again for the formal interview.
Again I can’t stress how anxious I was and haven’t had any sleep for over 24 hrs at that point.
My number was called again.
Went to the desk, the guy asked my full name and date of birth, took my fingerprints again(again a pain due to injury) and asked me to repeat after him and I was under the oath.
Asked me when I meet my husband first time, when we got married, if we have a date in mind for me to fly out and what is his job position.
The interview took between 3-5 minutes tops and the guy made me feel very relaxed.
He said he doesn’t have any more questions for me because when I was answering I was trying to give extra information to cover a possible next question and that I was approved.
He reassured me we will never see each other again and that I should have my passport back in the next several days.
I’m writing this on my way back home being a total wreck but also feeling so good knowing the hard part is over with.
Best of luck
