I had a great experience. It didn't make up for a year's delay due to relocating the consulate from Martin Place to Nth Sydney but the whole process was smooth and I was in and out in 45 min. The interview itself was barely 3-5 min.

Go in for security, gave them my phone and car keys (I drove and parked at Greenwood Plaza directly opposite so I could leave everything else in the car). Went up in the lift to lvl 5 and stood in line to hand over my docs. First lady asked for original and copies of civil docs, most recent taxes, I-134 and medical. Then I did my fingerprints and got given a number to sit and wait for my interview. It was quite informal and we all sat on huge benches at the windows and chatted to each other.

Got called up around 20 min later, the interviewer was really lovely and asked a few Q's: how did you meet, last time you met, who is the petitioner, what does he do for a living, and that was it. I was told I was approved, luckily had all my docs in order and so no yellow slip to send in anything else. CEAC status changed to AP that afternoon and 'issued' by lunchtime the next day.

I got an email from VFS which is now handling the passport dispatch instead of the consulate the day after it changed to issued and passport/visa is in hand today! (4 days after emailing VFS with my nominated mailing address).
