Review Topic: Lifting Conditions

I had my Lifting of Conditions interview in March, and I attended with my husband as required. We had hired a lawyer to help us through the process even though we didn't have a complicated case -we wanted the peace of mind.

We arrived 30 minutes early, but were told need to Check-in 20 minutes before the appointment time. (We drove all the way from RI, and parking was a pain, so I recommend you arrive with time if you don't know the area)

They took my fingerprints (I'm the beneficiary). We brought lots of updated bona fide: photos/credit card statements/banking statements/tax returns/letters addressed to both of us. However, the only paperwork we were asked for was the new mortgage deed and the latest year's tax returns. (I was a little sad because we made a real nice photoalbum with handwritten comments lol)

Only one question was asked and it was directed to both of us, they asked if we had any kids -which we don't, but that didn't seem like an issue, I think he needed to ask because if we said yes then we would need to give him more ppwk about the kids.

Masks were not compulsory, and the interviewer didn't have one on. Interviewer also photocopied our passports/IDs. He never said "you are approved", only that it all looked good and in order. With the excitement we forgot to ask what the next steps were or whether we were approved... but the next day we checked our receipt number online and it said "Sending new card to your address"!!!
