I had my interview on Sept 27, 7:30AM. I am very glad to have been the first appointment in and out that day, as it took 40 minutes start to finish. Everyone there was very friendly (including security). As to not repeat other people's reviews, I'll keep the info to the point.

I was asked for the following documents (as we had a joint sponsor, as my husband is in medical school and therefore is not working):
- passport
- one passport photo
- birth certificate (original, long form)
- marriage certificate
- first two pages of my sponsor's taxes, and my joint sponsor's taxes (1040)
And I think that was it, to my recollection. I had brought far more documents than I needed! They were even patient with me when I got nervous and handed them the totally wrong document once.

For the interview and the pre-interview document collection, I was asked the following questions:
- when and where did you meet your spouse?
- when did you get married?
- who is your sponsor?
- what is your current address in Canada, and what is their address?
- which town/city will you be living in?
- have you ever been arrested, convicted of a crime, etc?
- what is the longest you've ever stayed in the us? (4 months)
- have you lived anywhere outside of Canada?

And I think that was pretty much it. He said (probably three times, just to make sure I understood) that he fully intends to approve my visa, but just had to finish his checks in the system, because it wasn't up and running yet. He then said it would take 3-4 weeks until I received my passport with my visa in it.

I panicked a bit at this, but within a few hours, my CEAC status changed from "ready (for interview)" to "issued" (under administrative processing), and then a couple hours after that, to "issued" (in final processing. Please view your tracking number if you haven't received it within 5 working days).

As of right now, it has been just over 2 days sine the interview, and it still says that, with no tracking number yet available. I'm hoping it changes today and is on the way, because I'm planning on flying there next Wednesday as long as it is here by then.

Overall, a good experience, but I definitely was a stressed out mess until I saw "issued, in final processing" at 3:30 that day. Also, FWIW, I did not receive the "Welcome to the USA" letter that many people get.

For others, I recommend reading loads of reviews, especially the detailed ones that provide info about waiting outside the building, what you can bring, etc. I found that really helpful in terms of knowing what to expect, and there are plenty of these reviews already available.

Best of luck to everyone else!
