Review Topic: Lifting Conditions

The office is still operating under COVID restrictions, so we had to wait outside until about 10 minutes prior to our appointment time. The security guards outside were friendly enough, though strict with letting people in and not having much patience for people coming up without their paperwork ready. There was a decent sized crowd waiting so I can't blame them. Security was easy and the building wasn't very crowded due to them restricting entrance.

The second floor security guard was extremely friendly and funny, as was the staff member taking our appointment letter. They definitely put the right people up there as it made for a much less scary atmosphere to wait in. We only sat around for about 5 minutes before being called back.

Our interviewer was nice and straightforward. She spent a few minutes asking my husband questions about his name and other details on his application, confirmed our address, and then asked if we had anymore evidence we'd like to submit. We had brought a giant expandable folder full of it, and she spent the rest of our time quickly flipping through, asking a few confirmation questions, and then adding our new information to our file. After that, she let us know that she would check between appointments to see if anything was missing and if not, we would pass the interview. By the time we got back onto the train to go home a half hour later, our status had updated to say the card was being produced.

The entire interview, including walking time to and from her office, took 15 minutes, and was much easier and less stressful than we expected.
