My interview was on Jan 6th.
In the beginning everything went well. Officer asked for the documents and I had them all.
I am originally Iranian and because of that she REFUSED my application under the section 212(f) pursuant to Presidential Proclamation 9645. That was the Trump’s travel ban.
But she kept my passport and said she will request for some more documents to review my eligibility for a waiver.
I have provided them in the past 2 weeks but still no news.
Although on January 20, 2021, President Biden signed a Presidential Proclamation titled “Ending Discriminatory Bans on Entry to the United States.†which removed Trumps travel ban, still my application shows as refused.
I hope it will change to Processing or Submitted shortly.
