Wait time was great. Arrived 30 minutes early for appointment, when arrived there was a small line down the street from the Embassy, as they do not allow people to wait in front of the Embassy until they open( 7am). Exactly at 7am, we moved to the lines that specified what service you were there to receive, in about 5-7 minutes someone came out to our line ( immigrant visas) and checked the beneficiary name off on their clipboard and looked at both ( petitioner) of our passports. Then we moved through to security. Went through metal detectors etc, was directed to another building on the campus, when inside we were directed to sit in front of a bank of windows and wait to be called. when our turn, we spoke with a lady she asked for my husband's original birth certificate, and asked a few questions like, have you ever been to the US, do you have children, any children together. No many questions. She then told us to have a seat in a different section by a designated window ( window 19) and wait to be called. we waited for about 30 minutes and then was called up and greeted by the actual consular officer conducting the interview. He was friendly and asked just a few questions, how did you meet, do you have children together, there may have been one or two other questions ( sorry can't remember). Then he said he saw something in the system that my husband was arrested before, which he has never been, he told us to hold on, went to the back to check on something and returned, asked him about it again, and then gave us a 221G, and told us to return the certificate from the finger print analysis showing no wrong doing. He said we didn't have to come back, and to submit electronically, the faster we submit it the faster he can issue the visa. He said the visa issuance was the quickest process so turn it in as soon as possible. We went to the police office department of criminal investigations the net day and had finger prints done, analysis came back with nothing negative to my husband ( of course). We then needed a certificate from another place showing he has never been booked at any jails in the country. That certificate takes 5 days ( dues to Ccovid19) so now we wait for that and will submit everything together to the Embassy electronically and hopefully get it reviewed immediately so visa can be processed and picked up!!
