Review Topic: K1 Visa
I had my interview at 10 am and went to the embassy around 9.30 am. I first had to go to the left line for the Visa applicants and someone crossed my name from a list with all the people that had interviews today. After that I got a number and had to go to the right line for the U.S. citizens. I waited about 30 minutes and was called in to go through a security check (I didn’t had my phone or anything with me that wasn’t allowed so i went through without any problems). The officers told me to go to the next building to check in. There I had to tell why I’m there and had to go to the window with the number 22. When I went to the window there was a man that told me what’s gonna happen and kept my passport with my file that I sent in after the package 3 and told me to sit down until my number will be on the screen. After maybe 15 minutes a very nice lady called me and went in German (English is possible too) through the most important parts from my DS-160 with me again to check if everything is right and explained to me how the package will look what I will get in case my visa gets approved. She asked me then if I had any question and I gave her the extension letter for the I-129F because the 3 months were over yesterday. After that she told me to sit down again to wait for the actual interview with an officer. There were like 6 people in front of me and they all got approved without a problem so I wasn’t really scared anymore. First I had to swear that I’m saying the truth and give my fingerprints and after that the interview started. The first thing he said was tell me something from your fiancé (what I really hoped wouldn’t be asked because what do they want you to tell🤷ðŸ»â€â™€ï¸). The other questions were just very easy like how did you meet, when do you met the first time in person, what is he doing, where is he living, .. After he was done asking questions he said I’m approved and my passport will arrive in 7 to 10 working days. They were all super friendly and nice and made me feel very comfortable. I had a whole file full of stuff with me in case something was missing or they wanted to see something more but I only had to show my passport (not even appointment confirmation or DS-160). Overall it was a very good experience!
