Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Arrived 30 mins early. Immediately upon entering the facility (after going through security checkpoint and providing ID and interview letter) we (spouse and immigrant) were handed a number. When number was called went upto window to an officer for check-in. Our AoS interview letter was presented and immigrant is asked to provide fingerprint and have picture taken. After check-in we were put into waiting area for immigration officer interview. Waited for nearly 1 hour after 1:15pm scheduled appointment time on Thurs. Officer called us to normal looking office room and began procedure after swearing us both in (to tell the truth, nothing but the truth...). We were able to keep our phones and electronics but did not use them during the interview. Interview lasted approx 20 mins. Officer asked for ID from both of us. Officer went over all i485 submitted document verifying and updating information (we had to add immigrants current employment address) and verifying all of the questions asked in the paperwork. Officer summarized most of the wording to speed up process, questions were all directed to immigrant. Copies of documents were submitted to verify evidence of relationship (apartment lease, bank statement, life/health insurance policies) that were obtained after submitting the i485 paperwork. The officer looked through our small photo album but did not keep our photos. Officer informed us that AoS would be approved and if able documentation would be submitted that day and Greed Card would be dated from that day. Checked online and status was changed to "your new card is being produced" about 1 hour after interview. Before leaving office Officer informed us of procedure for renewing Greed Card and for Citizenship application.
