Prepare for a very long review lol. All good news, I appreciated reading other peoples reviews leading up to my interview, so thought I'd give a detailed one myself. When people say not to be nervous about the interview they are correct. Had my interview Monday at 10:30am. I got to the embassy at 10 and was asked for my DS-160 and then was allowed straight through to the airport like security. After this I walked straight up to the doors where there was one huge queue for visas and then one empty queue for american citizens. It was about 10:15 and the visa queue I was in wasnt going down and I remembered how some people said that k1 applicants can go straight through to the desks. So I asked a lady who worked there what to do and she said to go through the american citizen line and wait at the desk. I was seen straight away, the lady took my DS-160 again and popped a number on it and then told me to take the lift to floor 1, turn left and then left again. When I got to the waiting room, it wasnt too busy. I was sat for about 5 mins before I was called up to the first window. I was asked, by a friendly american, some simple questions e.g. have I ever changed my name, have I any children, am I adopted etc. He then took my finger prints, then finally I had to hand over my passport, 2 passport photos, birth certificate, ACRO certificate, the affidavit and then he only asked for the tax transcripts from my partner. I did also give him a current letter from his employer as my partner is earning more now than what he was in last years tax return. I was then advised to sit and wait to be called at the final window. I waited about 10-15 mins before I was called up. They lady I had was friendly, but was quite stern and to the point. She asked several questions about my relationship with my fiance, nothing scary. She then said that it looks like they have everything they needed and that I should have my visa issued and back to me within 7-10 days, she finished by congratulating me. All in all the process took an hour from arriving to walking out a very happy chappy. All went smoothly and everyone was super friendly, if you have any questions whilst at the embassy dont be afraid to ask anyone
