Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

I've written and submitted this 3 times now! Hopefully this one works. Husband is from Uganda, but no immigrant visas issued from Kampala, so all are routed to Nairobi, Kenya.
We have a solid relationship, and have lived together in Uganda since day 1 of our relationship. No red flags, our only period apart was for 6 months while I came to USA to file the I-130 and work to get funds for immigrating.
Anyway, consular officer in Nairobi already had a denial letter on her desk when my husband entered the booth.
Fortunately, we had a GIGANTIC binder of documents and proof, so everything she asked for, including things not required or requested by them, he was able to pull out and hand over to her. He said she was impressed but also looked slightly disappointed by how prepared we were, like it was a bummer to her that dhe didn't get to deny him.
She asked him many, many questions. Some we're normal, how we met, etc. Others we're invasive (how did he feel about my previous marriage, had we consummated, etc).
Eventually, she handed him an approval letter and told him to pick up his passport days later. He asked if it Would be possible to get it sooner, considering we were staying in a hotel (Gigiri Express, very close to embassy, we highly recommend), amd fortunately, she said yes, so we picked it up the very next day at DHL Gigiri.
Lesson to be learned for Nairobi interviews: do your research and take EVERY SINGLE THING PERTAINING TO YOUR MARRIAGE WITH YOU! They have a high denial percentage, so be prepared.
