Greetings Everyone!

On July 10th 2019 we were notified of Natasha's Naturalization Interview had been scheduled for August 14th, 2019 at 9:25 am.

We arrived just before 9:00, went through security and checked in! The waiting room was about 70% to 75% full. After a few minutes we noticed there was a constant refrain of calling people to door number one and literally happening every minute or two. Natasha's name was called at 09:30 and she calmly yet a bit nervous met her Interview Officer and disappeared beyond door number one.

Natasha emerged about fifteen minutes later with a huge smile on her face and declared that she passed her tests, her interview and the officer marked her form "Recommended for Approval"!!!!

Wow! We cannot believe it is over!

What a great experience! After arriving in the Officer's interview room Natasha held up her right hand and was sworn in. She was asked her to show her passport, driver's license and green card. The interview began immediately with Civics test questions. She answered the first 6 correctly and then moved on to reading a sentence. The Officer then dictated a sentence for her to write in an electronic tablet. The Officer then asked all Questions from the N-400. She asked about owing taxes and filing tax returns (we filed the N-400 and submitted our returns and requested supporting documents online) and Natasha responded in the affirmative. After a brief pause as the Officer completed online documentation she said I need to ask her a few questions about your I-751 (remove conditions which we still had pending). She only asked if we are still married and if we have been together the entire time and Natasha said yes and that we are happily married! (On the USCIS website the I-751 interview can be waived at the discretion of the Officer!)

Her 6 Civics questions:
1. Why do some states have more Congressmen than others?
2. Who was Benjamin Franklin?
3. How many members does the US House of Representatives have?
4. Name 3 original Colonies!
5. How many amendments does the Constitution Have?
6. Who is the Father of our Country?

Reading: "When is Columbus Day?"
Writing: "Columbus Day is in October."

If you study the USCIS Naturalization Study Guide you will be prepared for the test.
There are quite a few videos on YouTube that are very helpful with prepping for the test and interview. There are good videos for practicing the reading and writing elements which is very helpful for your English is not very good.

Know all of your N-400 entries and answers.

By the time we returned home after the interview her N-400 status had changed to Approved!
A few days later our I-751 (Remove Conditions) status had changed to "Card Being Produced"!
Her daughter's status is based on her mother's status and hers changed to "Card Being Produced" as well!

Hope this is helpful!

Regards,

Tony & Natasha
