Had our AOS interview at Washington DC office in April 2016. The officer was polite and efficient. Didn't even realize we were being interviewed, it felt as if she was making small talk asking how/when we met, etc. We brought any additional evidence (eg. many photos, an international marriage license, first ever joint tax return, originals of all mandatory documents) of our bona fide marriage to the interview. I remember the officer being especially impressed with the international marriage license (I got it from Turkish Embassy - wanted to certify my marriage & change my last name in my home country as well). She also asked a couple of questions on our daily routine.

It's been a while so I can't remember all the questions but basically she verified the info on the I-485 form, re-asked some questions relating to illegal activities (from that form). While this line of questioning and asking for additional documents were going on, she also added in questions about our relationship. Sometimes she'd direct the questions to my husband, sometimes to me. The whole interview went by pretty quickly and positively overall. In fact, with both AOS and ROC (lifting of conditions), the wait between filing/biometrics and the interview/approval was the only frustration in my experience.
