Our appointment time was at 7:20am on Tuesday. We arrived at the Consulate around 6:30am, which was a bit early. We had to stand outside and wait till the consulate opened.. The consulate does not open up until 7:00am - 7:15am. Afterwards, you go upstairs and handed a piece of paper to place your documents in order. I helped my fiancee in getting her paperwork in order. Afterwards, the fiancee is called up to receive information about their rights within the USA and to have their documentation taken.
After a little bit, my fiancee was called for her interview. Both the Braizlian and American can be in the room. After being sworn in, we were asked how did we meet, when, about our daughter (we had the day before register her as a US citizen through transmission of citizenship), and a prior issue she had while in an European country (she did overstay a tourist visa there for several years). Afterwards, the consulate officer approved us and off we went.
