Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Our interview was on 11/15/2018 at 10:45am.First we had to show our appointment letter to the officer then had to go through security check. After that we went to the Front Desk. We were told to go to the second floor and wait at door number 1. We waited for 35 minutes. Then we were called at door 2. The interviewer immediately asked if we needed an translator. We said, no.Then we walked to his office and we had to swear we would tell the truth and he took my fingerprints and photo.

The interview lasted about 20 minutes. First he asked if we had any additional evidence to submit then asked biographical questions from I-485 from both of us. After that he asked about 10 questions from the Yes/No questions of I-485. Then he asked if I had another passport and if I had been in the USA previously and what I worked now. Then he asked my husband how we had met, what he works and if he has any kids. At the end he said he had found everything all right with our paperwork and my green card was approved and I would get my green card in the mail within two weeks.
My green card arrived a week later.

All in all, it was a very positive experience. The interviewer was polite and asked a question two or three times in a different way if first I didn't understand.
