I got the visa! Honestly not long at all.

I had it at 7:30am was the first one in as I arrived half an hour early.

People started arriving around the same time or right at 7:30. It was sooo cold yesterday.

anyway, they give you a laminated paper with a number to organize all your documents. They call your name and you approach the booth you have to go to with your docs. They ask you to confirm your fiancé’s address and someone was asked about the phone number as well.

so they asked for:

Proof of payment of visa

a photocopy of my passport

2 photos

originals of my birth certificate and a photocopy

originals of his divorce docs and a photocopy

my original police record

the medical exam

intent to marry, original

I-134 with IRS Transcript, Bank Letter, Employment letter and W2s (they briefly asked me for the petitioner’s joint-sponsor copy of the passport at this point but I didn’t have it. She then said it was fine)

At the end you get the original birth certificate back.

After that I you sit back down, then go for the interview when your number is called again. It is a small room with a window and a lady there in the back.

She asked me a couple of questions as to why I had come in and out of the States so many times, where I met my fiance, when, if we had met each other’s families and it was all good
