Had my interview on 13th, This was by far the fastest, easiest part of whole process. Appointment was at 11.30, i got to London Bridge by train just after 10 and decided to slowly walk to embassy. Had supergrip on my bag the whole time, it was scary to carry so much important paperwork :D By the time I got there it was 11 so decided to try and see if they'll let me in as in interview letter it says to arrive 15 mins earlier and they did.
Girl at the booth was really nice, checked my ds260 confirmation page and passport, we joked about how she should have a roof as it was pretty cold and windy. Then she sent me to small building which is security. They check your passport again and you go through airport type check and then to embassy building. Ask you to take a sip of water if you have it with you, but I barely even touched bottle to my lips and he said yeah that's fine lol. Inside reception takes your passport, ds260 and puts label with number on it, then sends you up to 1st floor and outside make two lefts. When I got out from the elevator I was about to turn right for a moment, but there were girls who work there, I assume, and told me go left lol.
Waiting area is quiet and bright, definitely makes you feel calmer. There were only 3 other people waiting. Maybe 10 mins later they called me over to first window. Now- you have to keep looking at the screen as the numbers change without sounds, so me and other person didn't spot it straight away and made them wait a little bit lol. At first window they took ds260, birth certificate and translation, passport, photos, marriage certificate and police certificates with translation and took fingerprints. I of course forgot to print out courier confirmation page, but he was able to look it up in the system I think. The funny thing is that I organized my documents into three folders using the checklist and separated it into my husband's papers, my papers and evidence folder. They asked for a little bit from two folders so it was a mess, I got nervous just going through it all. It would have been better to put everything in one big pile, like I saw one gentleman had his documents, and fasten it with big foldback clip, and definitely mark everything with paper dividers it will help you find it much faster. Over there he asked few questions like phone number, if we were married 2 years and when is our anniversary. Then asked for tax return papers, I didn't have 2017 tax return as IRS gave us a tonne of delays as we tried to file married filing jointly, but he took 2016 transcript and it wasn't a problem. He asked how long have we been together, he seemed a bit surprised when I told his that we have been friends since 2011 lol, and told me my medical results weren't there yet which I wasn't surprised about. They take required papers and then tell you to wait to be called over to another window.
I got a bit nervous because people interviewing before me were denied, so I was hoping that interviewers mood won't be affected by it, but I guess they have to do it every day. She took my fingerprints again, then I had to swear under oath, with right hand up. She only asked me where I'll be moving and If if we'll live in apartment or house. THAT'S IT. She just said okay so everything seems good, you'll receive email from courier, and gave me piece of paper with info about it. I couldn't believe it was that easy, they haven't even looked at any evidence I had, and mind you, with haven't submitted any with i130 either, but I guess it might be because we're getting cr1, so we'll have to present all evidence in 2 years anyway. I walked away from the window and started crying, it was such a relief after 16 months to finally be done with it.
