I arrived at the Montreal Consulate with my fiancé at 07:06 in the morning and there were about 8 people in line already, as time went by more people started showing up. at around 07:22 a security guard opened the door and removed a sign which had forbidden items on it. He told everyone to switch off their cellphones. He also stated that we will all enter the building according to our appointment times. My appointment time was at 07:30, when we got inside the consulate, the lady at the door took my passport and my fiancé's passport. She put a sticker with my name on it and a barcode at the back of my passport she then returned the passports to us and gave us the laminating paper with the #6 on top of it.

We went through the airport style security screening and they collected our phones and told us that we will get them back after the interview. We then went downstairs were there was a waiting room. about 10 minutes later a security guard came and opened the elevator door and allowed us in.

When we got to the 19th floor we went into a waiting room that resembled the DMV. immediately we sat down they called "applicant 1" to a window then called other numbers before me to go to different windows. Then they called me to window 3. The lady at the window was super friendly and collected my documents. You need to just have all the documents then you will be fine. She kept my passport and told me to go take a sit.

After about 15 minutes they called me to the interview window. The lady was super friendly and she asked me about 8 questions:
1) How did you meet your fiance
2) What does he do for work
3) If our families have met before
4)Where does he live
5) Have you or your fiance ever been married before?
6)If I have ever entered the United States
7)If I have ever been denied entry to the U.S

She then smiled and said welcome to the United States, she said that due to the Canada Post strike they might be a delay on getting my passport back, she said I should wait between 2 weeks, I asked if I can come and pick it up on Friday since I will be in town till Friday, she said that it won't be ready by then.

It was a really good experience, the interview was quick and we were out by 09:05. I was really stressed about it but thanks to my fiance cause he was there with me and calmed me

Goodluck guys!
