Interview 10/17 @9:00
Found the embassy really easily. People outside asked to see ds160 and told me to
Head back 10 minutes before my appointment as rules had changed. Went back and got in, went through security all of whom were happy and cheerful then went up into the embassy and got diverted to second floor where I had to speak to someone. They asked for birth certificate, proof of money(as I self sponsored) and email confirmation. They then took fingerprints and scanned the passport photo into the network for the visa. He was happy and really easy to talk to. Went and sat down for 5 minutes then got called up for a second time where a different person asked me how I met my fiancee, when we first met in person and other journeys that had been made between us. We did the pledge (tell the truth and nothing but the truth...) then he smiled and said that he was more then happy to grant the visa. He said it would take between a week and 2 weeks or 10 working days to receive the visa. It was a really pleasant experience and everyone was always happy and polite. Overall the whole interview took about 20 minutes.
