We were very lucky to work with a great group of people here in Boston. Everyone at the office was very kind and making jokes with us to make us feel welcome and at ease. The interview took about 30 minutes and the immigration office was nice and had a sense of humor. They first interviewed me (the US Citizen and petitioner). They asked for proof of bonafide marriage, which I supplied in the form of photographs of us at our wedding, at a friends wedding, photographs of us in a different city with receipts from flights and AirBnB to prove we traveled there together, and a signed copy of our lease with both our names on it. I also provided the last 2 months of pay stubs to prove my continued employment and a copy of my health insurance showing that she is covered under my policy. They then asked basic relationship questions about where and how we met, when we started "officially" dating, and when we visited each other over the past year while living in separate countries. After that was done they brought my spouse in and asked her the same questions to make sure she collaborated my answers. Approximate answers were acceptable. They didnt require that we both remembered "He came to visit from September 19th to September 28th". They were okay with "He came to visit at the end of summer... I think it was September..." At the end they told us they had fun with us and could easily tell we were a real couple and that they would take a day or two just to sign off all the paperwork and get us our approval. We really appreciate how nice they were and made the interview very painless.
