Okay, everyone's right. This is a very easy consulate to go through. Our appointment was at 11, and we got there at 9:30 (taking the picadilly line to Victoria and off at Vauxhall. About 10 min walk from there). We hung out outside the embassy for an hour until they let us in at 10:30. No hassle on me (the sponsor) coming with him, either. We waited for about 30 mins in the immigrant visa area before being called up to present our documents. His medical had arrived (it was done 8 business days before). They wanted his passport, his birth certificate, police certificate, passport photos, all that good stuff, and the affidavit of support from me. I brought my 2017 W-2, a letter from my employer and a few pay stubs printouts from ADP. They only wanted the W2 and letter. Then we waited for another few minutes to be called for the interview portion. However, there was a problem with their file of his DS-160 and we were given the option of doing another one and coming back tomorrow with it or doing the interview and getting our result that day and coming back tomorrow after the file was corrected by IT/Washington (it wasn't clear). We chose to do the interview and get our results. The interview was very, very casual. How did we meet, where in Michigan would we live, wedding plans... We were told we were approved and to come back the next day at 10, right to window 20, our names were on the list, etc. I will say we are VERY fortunate he lives in north London, because the next day, all they needed were four fingerprints. That would be quite annoying if we came from further away and needed overnight accommodations for just a few prints. We were in AP for 2 days before the status was switched to issued. Very easy, very nice people, slight technical hassle. Lots of worrying for no reason, so if you're lucky enough to go through London, take a big sigh of relief. If your relationship is genuine, you'll be in and out with your visa quickly
