My expierence at the Montreal usa embassy was fantastic, they were fast and efficient with emails and questions (do not be afraid to call, or email for questions or injuries they're there to help you). Furthermore, I had my interview around 7:30 am (please note: appointment time does not matter, its first come first serve basis).

When your enter the embassy they do a security check.. please be aware they do not allow big bags, purses etc. So just try to carry maybe something less than a wallet size.. in which, you can still not enter with and will be asked to keep it with security and given a ticket for pickup once you exit the building.

After you've passed through security you will walk down a flight of stairs into a room with a laminated paper which gives you the order in which your documents should be presented.

Security will give you time to gather your documents, but do not worry if you dont manage to finish on time because they will then assist you up to the 19th floor in which will give you plenty of time to gather your documents in the waiting area.

Secondly, you will then be called to a desk either 1,2, or 3 to do finger prints, original documents (laminated sheet order) and present many documents, please be aware they normally need 2 photocopies and original copy of the documents for their own package used (the more the merrier).

-birth certificate, passport, support, evidence etc (from the checklist emailed to you by the embassy and what you ticked off you will bring).

The lady at the desk did insist if you have a fiance supporting you.. you should have an employment letter from the job he/she works, tax returns etc.

After a while your asked to take a seat until you get called to window 7, 8, and I believe 9.. in which they asked me these questions (everyone differs) and to put your hand up to make an oath that all information is true and correct...questions asked:

-How did we meet
-What does he do
-How long have u been together
-How often do you guys see each other
-Do u have a criminal record
-Have u ever been denied entry
-In the last 5 years where you have traveled
-Have u lived outside Canada more than 6 months
-Plans on wedding
-Is this your first marriage for both

After that they will tell you the results of you've been accepted etc, I did my interview on Wednesday and the next day had a notice theyve sent my passport out and recieved it in Toronto Friday of the same week -2 days only!!!

Advice for people going into the interview process in montreal is just to give all documents and copies, be relaxed and confident, and arrive early before your set scheldue appointment time.

Hope this helps people as the reviews have helped me, and best of luck to all.
