Review Topic: K1 Visa

The easiest part of the process but still a little nerve-racking.

The interview was scheduled at 9:30am.

I was in the embassy at around 8:45 am (took southwest rail to Vauxhall station then walked alongside the riverbank).
The embassy was relatively easy to get to, I highly suggest taking the public transport rather than driving.

I arrived in the south pavilion entrance and my DS160 was scanned in, then went on to security. ( PS do not bring laptop computers).
I then lined up at reception and the lady behind the desk asked me for the following. DS160, passport and confirmation page. (She then gave me a number to watch out for).

I was then asked to proceed to the 1st floor then make a left turn then left again for the immigrant visa waiting area. I sat in the waiting room and there is only a few people in comparison to the non-immigrant side which was quite full that day.
My number was called and i proceeded to the interview window. The man that was taking all my paperworks was very nice and smiley. He asked for the DS160, Birth Certificate, Affidavit of support and Police clearance. He was then asking me about my fiance in terms of what he does, does being a flight attendant help with your relationship, which airline do I work for, how long have I known him and if me or my fiance was married before.
I was then asked to sit down and wait for my number to pop up again.

20 minutes later, I was asked to go back and this is where the interview started. The officer that interviewed me was so lovely that he put my nerves at ease. He first asked me how did I know my fiance? I then responded that I met him on Tinder he then asked me if I was in San Diego that time. I then said yes, because you have to be in the same city for you guys to match. He then asked me if my fiance has visited London before? Have we travelled and if he is a part of my benefits with the airline? He then told me considering you will need your passport for your job have you informed your airline that you won't have it for the time being.

He then mentioned that my medical is not with them yet, he just said it all looks fine and approved pending the medical.

I then walked out with almost tears in my eyes when I called my fiance.

PS. The case status updated on the 9th of July to issued. It was first on AP then changed to ready then to AP again (changed to non-immigrant visa) then to issued.
