Despite a little wait time in the seating area, the interview was uneventful and routine. Nothing too serious. The guy seemed like he was just going through the motions, albeit very pleasantly. I had heard that these guys can typically tell what the deal it within 30 seconds of seeing people, and it really seemed like that. He took one look at us and seemed satisfied, but had to go through the questions. I suspect this experience varies dramatically depending on the country, though. Not sure it would have gone as smoothly in Afghanistan, for example.
