We arrived at the consulate at 8:30AM, and were told to go to the front of the line for direct entrance. Both of us were able to enter the consulate for the interview process together. The room was on the 2nd level, and we just had to fill out a form for personal contact information and also organize the required documents. They reviewed these and then gave us back documents we didn't need. Then we had to wait and see someone at the counter who prepared our documents for the consular. After that, we had to wait again to be officially seen. We both could go to the interview window. He stated that it was his first time seeing the new NVC CEAC online documents and that it made it really easy. We only had two questions in regards to how many times my spouse had been in the US and for how long, as well as a question about my previous employer. Then he said it would take 2 weeks, however since we had a simple case then we should receive the passport back within a couple of days by his estimate. We are going to pick up the passport from the casv. Also, they had a computer and printer for any last minute documents to print. The whole process took until 11AM, so 2.5 hours involved. But the majority of the time was sitting and waiting so be prepared for that. All in all, it was super nerve wracking, but the consular and everyone was super friendly and helpful so our recommendation is to be relaxed and it will work out! javascript:emoticon('')
