Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

My husband's reaffirmed IR1 visa interview was scheduled for 7:30 am. I the US citizen was not allowed into the building, but gave him my passport and an explanation letter to take in to show I was here in Ghana.
We got into line around 7:10 am and there were already about 75 people ahead of us.
The line moved quickly enough.
I bid my husband goodbye and good luck and waited with a lot of other people under the big trees in the round about just outside the embassy.
After about 4 hours, I saw his handsome, smiling face emerging from the embassy, with all that evidence we had submitted for the second interview, plus all the evidence submitted to the USCIS to be reaffirmed in the USA.
He had the blue paper saying his visa would be ready in 2 weeks.
What happened inside:
His fingerprints were taken and then a Ghanaian officer asked him a couple of questions about my age and his age (then unnecessarily made a snarky remark to him, but what can you do).
He gave her all his evidence and was told to sit and wait.
He was then called up to the window and asked just a few questions:
1. Your case was reaffirmed, right?
2. How many children do you have?
3. Will your child be immigrating with you at this point?
That's it. He was then told he was approved and given the blue paper.
I believe a lot has changed at that embassy. When we started this journey, I kept reading reviews and comments about how rude and horrible the officers and personnel there were. My husband said no one was rude at all to him, and that everything moved smoothly.
