Interview went smoothly all together. I was scheduled for the interview at 13:00 and we had to wait outside. Someone came to us with a list, called our names and invited us in. I had my handbag opened and rummaged through like a chubby kid looking for candy. I had to leave my cell phone and the 2 portable chargers that I had on me at the security check, as they were the only couple electronics. Moving on to the interview.
Everything that happened from this point on, has been made through a counter and a glass wall (like prison or train stations, or exchange office) - at least that's how it is in my country. I was called at the first window, I had to give them the affidavit of support and all proof of the petitioner's income, my medical result envelope (which i had to open myself in front of her), copy of the birth certificate, proof of relationship, i hope i'm not forgetting anything. Also one passport picture. That's where I had trouble apparently mine was no good for some reason. Luckily the embassy has a photo stand in the waiting room and i could take new pictures.
I had been called to the next window for finger prints and told to move further in the waiting room at the window number 11 and wait for the interview.
A nice american lady called me up for the interview. Keep in mind everything is through a glass window (i've been so worried about what to wear, they couldn't even see me from the waist down). She made me raise my hand and swear to tell the truth. Then she asked me the following questions:
When did you meet?
How did you meet?
How did he propose?
When is the last time you saw each other?
Has he been back?
Did you ever go to the states?
Do you work?
Did you meet his parents?
Did he meet your parents?
What do you like about him?
What does he have that local men don't?
Don't worry if you blabber, i did it myself on the last two questions because it was like asking me why is the water wet. After a long pause i gave her a couple of short answer such as "He's not sketchy.", "He's consistent". Afterwards she told me my visa was approved.
