Hi All, I had an CR1 visa interview on May25th 2017.. I will share my experience. Firstly i didn't had my sleep on 24th Night Bcoz my interview was scheduled on 25th Early morning at 7:30AM. I reaced US consulate at 6:30 already there are many people standing in front of consulate. They first called all the immigrant visa applicants 7:30am. Please avoid any carry bags etc Only carry the Documents by Hand. After finishing security check They seperated South indians and North Indians.And one by one called by Indian Officer for documents Verification. The lady who interviewed me was smiling and is had very patients and asked original Bith certificate , Marriage Certificate , My Wifes I-864, W2FORM and received passports and given legal rights paper and asked to read before going to American officer and Questions like..
1) Who is ur Petitioner?
2) Where does she live?
3) What is she doing in USA?
And told to wait for my Token Number Turn
Finally at 10am My token Number was called by an American Officer. He is such a nice person first he apologized me for waiting me and greeted. And asked questions ike..
1) Who is calling you?
2)Marriage Date:
3) How did u Meet?
4) Where did u meet?
5) College Name where u both meet?
6) What does she do for living?
7) Love Marriage or Arrange Marriage?
8) When did you last seen your Wife?
And he was typing in computer and finally said Golden word that "your Visa was Approved".javascript:emoticon('') My Mind was blown and filled with happiness and said Thank you very much. He taken my passport and told you can collect from ur Visa pickup center.
My Suggestion : Just be frank and answer the questions with confident. Don't try to impress them with ur attitude.. All the best for others who are going to interview
