My fiance and I went together to the embassy. He planned to attend with me because we read that, for the Peruvian embassy it was highly recommended to do it. Our appointment was at 11:30am so we arrived at 10:30 to the US embassy. We entered and they asked me my passport and the appointment letter. We passed the security point and they asked us to enter in a big hall, where all the windows for interviews are. They asked us to seat at the end of the room and to wait until my name was called. We waited over there like 30 minutes until I was called to a window. The woman at the window was a really nice and polite person, she asked me all the documents and she just kept putting them all together in a folder. She gave me a cd with the results for my medical exam, she said I needed to take them with me to the airport for the POE. In addition, she gave me a paper of domestic violence and an oath that I needed to read at the moment of the interview.
We waited 30 more minutes and my name was called again to another window for the actual interview. The CO was a really nice man. He might have been in his 20 and he was really informal(in a positive way) and supportive. He asked me if I preferred to speak in English or Spanish, and because of my fiance, I told him that in English it was fine. He said that if I needed to ask anything in Spanish I could feel free to do it. He just asked where we planned to get married and about the dating site we met on. After that, we got approved and he said not to worry but he needed to cancel without prejudice my tourist visa because people can't have two different types of visa. That was all, after 6 days I got my passport with the visa issued and all the additional documentation. We feel so blessed and happy. Thanks God everything went well. Remain positive and as my fiance says keep in mind that good things come for those who wait.
