I am a white american woman filing for an Indian man. I am divorced and have two kids and also I am older than my fiance. Since our relationship goes against ALL "norms" the staff at the Mumbai consulate have at every step been completely rude and disrespectful to my fiance despite the fact that he has done nothing to warrant such treatment. Though he has answered every question truthfully, they repeatedly acuse him of lying and just using me. Some/many of the questions they ask are completely stupid and prove nothing as to the validity of our relationship. I find the way they interact with my fiance and the accusations of lying very offensive for many reasons, one of which is that it suggests that they think I am too stupid to know the truth about my own relationship. Anyhow I could go on and on but I will leave it be saying the staff at the Mumbai consulate are very very abusive in the use of their power/authority.
