our interview was at 10 am but we got there around 9:15 after trying to find parking.
the security check in was very quick. There were two lines, one for residential visas and one for tourist visa. The residential visa line was very short, therefore we made it pass security in about 5-7 minutes.
once we entered the consulate we were given a number and sent to window #8 immediately. the lady at the window asked for my hubbys passport, original marriage and birth certificate. then she said that i might not get approved because according to my 2015 tax returns i don't make enough to sponsor my husband. she told us to have a seat and that a case manager would be with us shortly and to wait for our number to be called. 5 numbers later lucky number 228 was called to window number 6.
the case agent asked us
what is your name?
when did you meet?
where did we get married?
do we have any children?
what are our occupations?
and how long have we been together?
once we answered the case manager said that i would need a affidavit of support approve my visa because my 2015 tax return don't show much. I QUICKY PULLED out my salary info and my employment letter with the department of education letter head. the case manager took it went to the back and said "VERY GOOD EVIDENCE, YOUR VISA IS APPROVED FELICIDADES!!"
we were in and out of the consulate in 34 minutes!!! so happy
