Manila, Philippines Review on October 11, 2007:

The interview took about 5 minutes, 3 of which we sat and watched the interviewer enter info into the database. As the sponsor, i was also permitted to be there. They only asked three questions: my wife's name, my step-son's name, and the nature of my job.

I advise all to arrive early. There are over 200 people and the embassy does a great job of organizing them into chohorts to ease the process as much as possible in the limited amount of space available. Our appointment time was 0700, we arrived at 0615 and our interview was at about 0915.

One thing we forgot was the glue or tape to fix the passport photos onto the application. Other than that it went very smooth! After the interview, the DELBROS station is a bit more confusing. DELBROS is the company that will actually deliver the passport and visa to you. Our interview was on 4 October, and we actually received the passport on 10 October, of course there was a 3 day weekend in that time as well. i guess that means you should be prepared to wait anywhere from 3 to 6 days if you are in the Manila area, otherwise I assume it would be longer.

Good luck to everyone!
