Although my husband had prepared binders full of evidence of our marriage, the officer did not request any. Our main problem with the consulate was that they nearly lost my husband's passport, which slowed down the time between the interview and provision of the visa. It ended up taking two weeks. Tip: if you have two passports, even if the officer says they only need your new one, give both!
