Over-all experience was great! Everything went smoothly and all the US Embassy Manila staff was very friendly and accommodating. It’s important to always wear your smile and be confident in answering their questions. It pays if you do a lot of practice question and answer with your fiancé/husband. It help you boost your self-esteem that whatever they will be asking to you, you will be able to answer it with accuracy and confidence.

Here are the questions they asked me, it covers all steps from prescreening to final interview.
1.What is my full name and fiancé’s full name?
2.What is my birth date? His birth date?
3.How old am I? How old is my fiancé?
4.How did we meet? When?
5.How many days he stayed while visiting me?
6.When did he propose?
7.What is his work?
8.Has he been married before?
9.How many times?
10.How many kids? I was asked to state kids’ names. Thank you to my fiancé, we included this in our practice!
11.What do I love about my fiancé?
12.What is his favorite food?
13.Have my family meet my fiancé? She asked if she could see some photos, I showed her copies of our photos and she saw my fiancé with my family.

After we submitted the I-129F, we noticed that we overlooked question #15 about “Has your fiancée ever been to United States?” but we managed to put N/A to question 15a.

During the prescreening interview, she didn’t ask me directly about it but asked me if I have ever been to other countries and for how many days? I told her I have been to Hongkong for 4 days for a tour. We were not sure but maybe that was her way of validating the overlooked question #15 as she was nodding while looking at the computer. Maybe she was seeing on the system that I have been to other country but not in US.

Affidavit of support, tax return and W2 were not asked but it is best to bring it with you just in case they will ask you to show it to them.

The final interviewer said that everything looks good and we are approved! She said to wait 5-10 working days for the visa to be delivered.

Thank you to visajourney, very informative! It is a big help for my fiance and I. Kudos to all Visajourney moderators! :-)
