Review Topic: F-2A Visa

My Interview was for 6:30 am, I got to the Embassy by 5:23am. By past 6am, we were told to be on the queue according to the visa category(Immigrant and Non-Immigrant). People with 6;30am were told to file in, all medical results opened as they don't want anything sealed taken in. After the first security check, we filed to a table where the Interview were confirmed and a number was written on the form( I later got to know that that is the number I will be called with for the Interview). We were given a form to fill( please fill as you proceed to the main Embassy section as you will need to drop at the first point when finally in the Embassy building) On another queue, we were passed till we got into the second security check. Where you put off your belts and wrist watch, and your things and yourself get scanned. Once through this step, you proceed to the main building, file under the Immigrant section. On the queue there, you wait till the next person in line is called to the next available spot/window. At that window, all the originals are being collected(Police Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Birth Certificate for both petitioner and Beneficiary, International Passport, Two passport Photos). Then the woman who attended to me said the number on my confirmation page would be used to call me for the Interview. Luckily, there were seats for Immigrants, while the non-Immigrants weren't so lucky. They stood all through. There were just two Consular officers attending to Immigrants. An Asian man and a white lady. Two people were denied by the Asian man, while the other two (a father and his son) were also not approved by the white lady. And next, I was called! To the white lady's window. After the raising of my right hand, affirming that all I wrote on my forms were true, the fingerprints were taken. Then the questions:
1. Who is petitionng for You?
2. What does he do? Where? What does that entail?
3. How long have you been married?
4. Why did it take this long to file?

While she was asking the questions, she was returning all the originals, and the photographs and Chat history we had submitted along at the NVC stage. I answered all her questions, and the next thing I know, she brought out some forms, like 4 in all. on one, she circled the location for my visa pick up in the next two weeks. And that was all!

Thank you everyone on VJ, for your great wealth of input, thank you Dwheels, you always take time to respond to all questions no matter how dumb they are.
Quick note here to all who will pass through the Lagos Embassy, please there are some guys there who mislead people to exploit them. How? You get there, they tell you if on your passport photos, you have earrings and chains on, Embassy won't accept, you need another one, they tell people, you need to print your DS 160/260, Confirmation page isn't accepted in black and white but coloured. I stood my ground, to their detriment. Please, don't be misled. All you need apart from your Int'l passport and two passport photos(by the way, CO returned one passport photos), print out of your Interview notice, IV Application Confirmation page(to get into the entrance) other documents may apply as you were told
