My interview was in mid-February in Montreal. The medical and interview were exactly a week apart. I pushed the mandatory 3 business days between medical/interview to 4 and spent the days between the medical and interview in the US visiting my fiance over the weekend.

The medical was thorough, very organized and proficient. My appointment was at 9:30am and I was out by 11. I had the interview on a Wednesday morning - I flew to MTL early AM, got a cab downtown to Medsys ($40 flat rate to DT) and a cab back to the airport. I was only in Montreal as a stopover, as I mentioned above. The timeline worked great actually. I spent the weekend with my fiance and flew back to MTL on a redeye flight Monday night - got another cab DT to pick up my medical results from Medsys on Tuesday and stayed in the Renaissance Hotel 2 blocks from the embassy that night. Very convenient and a beautiful hotel! The staff were incredibly accommodating. This is not a budget hotel however!

The interview experience was efficient - I was there by 7am, the second one in line and received a #2 for K1 visas. I was in and out of the embassy in an hour. Unfortunately they weren't satisfied with one of my documents so I didn't get approved there - I had to mail in another document and they weren't too friendly about it. They did say everything else was in order and there would be no other issues once this doc was submitted. I got on it right away and mailed it in within a couple days (had to have signed papers fedex'd to me from the US) and I've been waiting 4 weeks now in AP with no updates on my file. Another bump in the road, but we'll get there!

Thanks to everyone from this site for all the help along the way!! It really kept me calm the day of my interview and I wasn't nervous at all! Easy peasey.
