I was at the US Embassy in Sana'a Yemen before 7am and went through security checks outside the Embassy. Then went in and was checked again by security and their scanners just like at the airport. Then exited and walked to the Consulate. Upon entering I received a number and waited to be called upon. There were about 5 or 6 windows to serve the people. After being called on they took my passport and papers that were requested prior to the interview. Then the employee did all my fingerprints and took my picture and asked me questions regarding my case. Then asked me to go pay and to have a seat. The consulate called for me. He asked me 2 or 3 simple questions and took a look at the photos provided as requested previously. He knew some Arabic as well. Then he said wait for our call. Upon arrival at home they called me up and said to come get your passport.(I forgot my passport there) After about a week or 2 they called and asked to bring the passport back and said wait for our call. After 2 weeks they told me to come pick up my passport all ready for travel! It was a good experience even though we were put under Administrative Review for about 6 months. My fiancé contacted her local senator by email which definitely ended the Administrative Review a week after the email being sent.
