Review Topic: K1 Visa

Background: K1 visa filed in May 2015, got the NOA1/NOA2 way quicker than we thought. Interview was in February 2016.

Medical: It was at Medysis and the appointment was at 12:30. I got there at 12:15pm and they asked for
-passport
-packet 4 email
-consulate appointment confirmation
-vaccination records
They asked me to sit down to fill out a 5 page document about my medical history which didn't take long. I was called around 12:30 to take X-Rays which took about 15 mins. The doctor called me in around 1:30pm and did a quick 10 minutes physical exam (ears, eyes, reflexes, thyroid, etc). At 2:15pm I was called to take my weight/height/blood tests (had to get the flu shot) and was done before 2:30pm. (I had to remind them to take my 5 passport pictures before I left lol) & I was out the door by 2:45pm.

Interview: My appointment was at 9:30 and I got there at 9am. All I had with me was my documents, a book and keys in a plastic bag. They checked my DS160 confirmation page + passport, told me to close my phone and they held it for me after I went through security. When I got upstairs this man with a red jacket asked me if I had my number. The lady downstairs forgot to give me one so I had to go back down to get a number and go through security again.(while I was there an Asian man came in the building a little too quickly (for their taste) in the building and the guard got mad and told him to not do this again and that he was lucky because he almost arrested him. So wait until they open their door for you when you get there........) At around 10:30am they called my number and I went to window 1 and the lady asked for
-birth certificate & copy
-letter of intent
-I-134
-supported financial documents (that I did not have yet unfortunately)
-Passport & copy
-2 passport pictures
-appointment letter
-medical results (she gave me back the x-ray CD)
-police certificate
She took my fingerprints and told me to sit and wait until I was called for my interview. They called me around 11:15am to window 8 and it was the same guy in his mid-30s/brown hair/glasses that has been mentioned a couple of times on VJ. He was very nice and then he asked me
* Have you lived anywhere else beside Canada?
* Any trouble with police? with the border? (with your parents, fiancé, friends lol)
* What does your fiancé do for a living?
* Who typically travels to visit the others?
* How did you meet?
* When did you meet face to face for the 1st time? How?
He then went through the papers I had given earlier at window 1 and since I was missing some financial papers he told me to just send it by courrier and it should be fine. I was out (the last one out actually) before 11:30am

Thank you VJ and good luck to everyone. If you're prepared everything should be fine!javascript:emoticon('')
