Other than the long wait, everybody in the consulate my wife had interacted with were very polite.
It took about 4 hours for my wife to complete her interview from the scheduled interview time. She had to wait a long time before being called to interview which lasted about 5 minutes.
The officer (at counter 11) who interviewed my wife was a male in mid-30s. There are the questions he asked:
Who is your sponsor?
What does he do and where does he work?
Love or arranged marriage?
How did you meet for the 1st time?
How did you know each other?
How long were you apart from each other?
Why wait so long to get married?
There is no point in getting to the consulate earlier than the scheduled time. This is the order in which immigrant visa applicants are interviewed:
1. Family or multiple persons applying together
2. Individuals who need a translator
3. Individuals proficient in English
