Review Topic: K1 Visa

My fiance just had his interview a few hours ago and was approved! A great text message to wake up to. He said it was painless enough and it was a lot of waiting:
He arrived at 7:35-40 and there were already about 40-50 people in line. He saw one agent talking to someone and then walking them into the embassy. When that agent came back out, my fiance showed him his appointment letter and he was brought in as well. The long line was for non immigrant visas.

He got a number at 7:45 and then went up to the waiting room and waited for his number to be called for about 40 minutes. When his number was called, the agent only wanted the AOS, police checks from all countries, original birth certificate, the letter from the employer, proof of payment and appointment letter. They did not ask for DS-160, intent to marry, my bank statements, or proof of ongoing relationship.

He said the exchange with the documents agent was longer than the actual interview, and both were only a few minutes. After he had given his documents he waited for an hour - hour and ten for the interview.

The interview was about three minutes and was mostly questions about how we met and the timeline of where we were living and when (we've traveled a lot and lived in multiple countries together). Then he said congrats and that the visa was approved and should be ready in about ten business days.

Fiance said he was out by about 9:55.
