We had an 8:30 appointment, I was allowed to go in with my husband. He was called three times to a window, the first to provide his original civil documents, passport, photos and medical exam, the second for the interview with the Consular Officer (which I was also allowed to participate in) and the third to know what's next.
The interview itself took about 10 minutes, we had the lady with chin-length brown hair and glasses - she was very nice and professional. We both took the oath, he did biometrics, then we started the interview. She asked a couple of questions, I answered some, he answered others, they were mainly to verify the legitimacy of our marriage, ask about our plans in the US, and then to clarify a few things specific to his case (related to where he's lived and the needed police certificates which we had). She seemed to know our file very well and had read the many papers I had submitted to NVC. It was nice that someone read through what took us so much time and effort to put together. We answered her questions truthfully and simply, there were no trick questions, she said at the end "you qualify for a visa, you're approved, congratulations."
They kept my husband's passport and said the visa will be printed on it. They didn't say when we'll get it back, but it seems it's going for printing right away and shouldn't take long.
Overall we're very pleased with our experience.
