Rating: | Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
hi everyone, its a late review ,coz I don't feel like celebrating until I have my visa. I hope my experience in usem Manila will help to those who have still waiting for their interview.my interview scheduled last June 4, arrived in Manila June 3, supposed to be a 1 pm flight from cdo. but it was delayed. I arrived in Manila ,around past 6pm. took almost 3hours to wait the metered taxi. I arrived in hotel almost 9pm, just sharing it coz for me its very important even.I was o tired already and no food yet since morning. but I told myself that I will go to church before my interview. that's what I did when I had my B2 visa, in 2005.got it. so I went to Baclaran church around 10 pm.... June 4 , I know its the prayer. that I I don't feel exhausted. I called my husband and he told me to call him when I got to the usem. I understand him coz you know Manila???? arrived at the embassy 4:30 there's around 15 people in immigrant line. beware so many business people will greet you when you come down from the taxi.I was wearing a high heeled sandals, which I think is not advisable. I was standing a woman approached me if I want a chair, for 30 pesos. I thought its for the entire waiting period outside. I was wrong coz when guard called for immigrant line up properly , no chair allowed. we standing there for 3 hours. huhuhuhu. around 7 am we already called up, in the gate.I gave my passport and ds 260 confirmation. very important coz some of us don't have the confirmation page. here it goes the business people in usem. 400 pesos for Ds 260, 200php to keep your phone. I got mine kept, but I chosen the who's not suspicious looking. Nora, she was nice. when we entered to first door. window 38 guy got my passport and gave me the number which didn't use. we entered again to another door I thought we can properly sit already. wrong again coz immigrant and non immigrant have different place. immigrant chairs are full already. we seated on railings. we're like waiting in Robinson to open.lol, here's the woman calling numbers. thanks God I can sit properly, told myself. random calling. after calling 3 batches of immigrant . said to follow the sitting sequences.my line up ended in 2nd to he last batch lined. it's really a total chaos.I don't understand. at last our lined called to come inside. security security check. first step finger prints. he was a nice American guy, asked me my name and my birthday. I was lost I went to non immigrant section. no guide after finger printing.
look around for the people in my lined. there's the woman now told me to sit in letter B line. so I sat in that line. when its my turn the Filipina consul said she doesn't have my file so I need to lined up again. very tiring co they don't call numbers anymore so the people just sitting whever they want to. the woman was busy I think to assist everyone. step 2 its almost 12noon .Filipino consul :

she was in a hurry for lunch break. after step 2. we went outside for lunch. we came back 1 pm.step 3, oath taking line up again again the sequence wasn't followed. people seated wherever they want.oath taking he was a nice American guy, he talked slowly, were 2 at the window an old woman can't hardly read the English oath, so the american guy said she can read either the Cebuano or tagalog. it's almost 4 pm. more consulates window being opened to finish the remaining applicants. it's my turn for step 4, lined up again. heres it goes....

step 5 releasing, were only few of us left. the guy in releasing asked if the email in my traveldocs profile is correct. I said yes. and he said I will get an email from them about my nbi wiht aka and how to send it to 2go. it was 4:30 with the help of Nora who knew someone in nbi main. we hurried to get my nbi with Aka. but coz of time they only get my fingerprint and said that I will get it in the morning.coz i m in hurry for flight, I forgot to enclose the email print with my nbi.
