Our appointment was scheduled for 7am and we arrived at 6:30am. At first it was confusing as to which line to stand in because there were several different options and the signage was not very clear. We caught on quickly as we notices several couples with K-1 paperwork so we stood with them. We waited about 30 minutes until we were allowed entry into the embassy. My fiance was forced to return outside at the security checkpoint to deposit an umbrella she had in her purse. She returned quickly after disposing of that. We took a number and waited in a nice area with air conditioning (others were waiting outside). Once called to the window they checked and organized all of our paperwork and asked us to wait again for the actual interview. After about 20 minutes we were called to the window for the interview. The consulate was a very pleasant African American woman and she swore us to tell the truth, asked for my fiance's paperwork (passport, birth certificate, medical interview paperwork, and police certification), and took her electronic fingerprints. She then reviewed our original I-129F submission (which was very thorough thanks to this site) and then asked where we met, where and on what date did we get engaged, and finally she asked my fiance what I did for a living in the US. This was the extent of the questioning. It was very fast and very easy, which contrasted to the anxiety we felt leading up to the interview. The interviewer was very pleasant and quickly congratulated us on our approval. Overall this was a pleasant, organized process. javascript:emoticon('')
